MAYMA ALEXANDRA ARICAPA
He belongs to the EMBERA KATIO ancestral community, indigenous leader of Putumayo (southern region of Colombia).
My relationship with plants has been since my birth: my grandmother, who was a midwife, word-of-mouth planter, knowledgeable about some plants, was the one who assisted in my birth and in my mother's recovery; Being from the countryside, it is common to be surrounded by family who know plants and their virtues. I began a journey with plants that lead to the essence of being, that reconnect us with life in all its languages and open the paths to the spirit.
